No Justice, No Peace. is a social justice comedy that tackles issues of race, love, faith and freedom. The story examines the events surrounding Maurice James, an African American male wrongly convicted of a crime he didn’t commit. A mayor out to gain political advancement helps get him exonerated from prison and this begins Maurice’s’ journey to find justice and peace. While on this voyage all doesn’t go as planned for Maurice and he finds himself in a few situations that actually make him wonder if being in jail was better than having his freedom.
The show covers hot button topics and doesn’t stray away from addressing some of the world’s biggest current events like Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Cosby, El Chapo and even Beyonce in a hilarious way. While extremely funny and entertaining this show is also empowering. It’s the strength of an African American male who could have had the same fate as that of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland just to name a few. Our production addresses police relations, deaths of minorities and our two cent on how to resolve it. Filled with nonstop laughter, moments worthy of tears and a cast everyone will fall in love with this thought provoking show is one you don’t want to miss!
